Yes, Coates’ shackles are rated for lifting applications. Our high-quality D and Bow shackles are stamped with the WLL (Working Load Limit) and serial number. They are designed to provide safe load and anchor connections and are suitable for various lifting and rigging tasks, ensuring safety and reliability on site.

Do not side-load dee shackles. Side-loading a bow shackle - applying force at an angle rather than in a straight-line pull - is not recommended as it can reduce the working load limit (WLL) and compromise safety. 

For safe lifting, always follow manufacturer guidelines and use the correct shackle type for your specific rigging setup. If side-loading is unavoidable, consult a lifting expert.

Dee shackles are best for tasks requiring straight-line pulls and offer high strength for heavy lifting. Bow shackles are more versatile and can accommodate multi-directional loading, making them suitable for more complex rigging setups or when multiple attachments are involved.
