FAQs
Steel shoring is recommended for deep, wide or high-load pit and trench excavations, particularly in infrastructure, stormwater or road projects with heavy plant movement nearby.
Steel shoring systems are lowered into place with an excavator. For deeper trenches, the ‘dig and push’ method is used, excavating slightly deeper after the shoring is placed, then carefully pushing it down as digging continues. Most systems include adjustable struts to suit trench width and ensure safe clearance for workers inside.
Steel offers higher load ratings and better performance in deep or unstable trenches. It is ideal when soil pressure, machinery weight or site regulations demand maximum strength.
